Title 9: Transactional & Merchant Law
9-1: Except where it conflicts with a law provided in this Code, merchant law is observed in the Isles. Upon petition, a magistrate may determine whether a Tiran law sufficiently addresses a particular matter to supersede merchant law.
9-2: Patents (for inventions and processes) and copyrights may be obtained via certification from the Caste of Builders and must be filed with the City Clerk in the Administration Building.
9-3: Instruments of debt may be transferred.
9-4: To be recognized and restricted under law, family crests must be registered with the City Clerk in the Administration Building.
